Nazilli Özel Eğitim Meslekokulu
Our school is an official public school serving students with mild mental disabilities.It has been opened in 2001.Our institution covers two levels as secondary and high school. Students living in 5 cities around us are studying in our school.When these two institutions are considered together, we give education to 110 mild mental disabilities students with our 29 teacher. The age of our students are 12-22.
Our students continue their education in our school with 13 classes and 4 workshops. They can choose from many diffirent activities for example handicrafts,mosaic,wooden,ceramics and glass technologies, cooking.
As a special education school, our aim is adapting to society mentally disabled children according to their talent and to provide our students with professional skills. In this context, our Erasmus project (2018-1-KA102-068155 Special Education for Employment), which we wrote for our students’ internships, has been approved and our students have started to gain European experience in the field of profession.
We are also trying to develop our students physically. There is a sports club in our school and We are participating every year in tournaments organized by „Turkey Special Athletes Sports Federation”.

Onur ÇAPAR – Special Education Teacher
I started to work as a special education teacher at Nazilli Special Education Vocational Center in 2012.
I took part in the sports club management we created in our school for students with special education needs and participated in various tournaments with students.
I have been involved in Erasmus projects for 5 years in order to collaborate with schools from different countries and learn new approaches.
Bülent KARADAYI – Teacher
I have been working as Special Needs Teacher in Nazilli Special Education Vocational Training School since 2012.
I chaired the sports club we created for students with special education needs 3 years and participated in various tournaments with students.
Murat TOSUN – Art Teacher
I have been working as an art and workshop teacher at Nazilli Special Education Vocational Training Center for 7 years.
I opened many painting and photography exhibitions. I took an active part in KA2 and eTwinning projects about preparing materials with photographs and pictures, creating posters, logos, etc.
I have been working on projects for 5 years in order to share the positive effect of art on students with special education needs and to develop myself professionally.
Ulaş SARIGÜN – Special Education Teacher
I started working in a public school in 2014. I have been working on autism for 3 years. I know a good level of sign language.
I attended many seminars on children with Down syndrome and autism. I have certificate of Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-2. I can rate for children with autism. I have worked with autistic and hearing-impaired students in the past.
I have been actively involved in Erasmus projects for 3 years in order to share knowledge in the field of special education and improve my English.
